Nás na Ríogh Housing Association (NnRHA) – McAuley Place
Founded in 2000 McAuley Place, Naas, County Kildare, is a voluntary, not for profit organisation with charitable status. Its’ mission is to bring older persons to the heart of a vibrant community. See www.mcauleyplace.ie . The Board of Management has just completed its’ Strategic Plan and has identified three voluntary opportunities at Board level. The opportunities are:

The Board meets at least monthly, working to highest standards of Corporate Governance. McAuley Place works extensively with local, voluntary and government agencies. The organisation through its housing, community centre, tea rooms and arts/culture centre and volunteer hub brings intergenerational activities to the McAuley Place campus.
Each Board Member takes the lead role on key activities as defined in the Strategic/Business Plan. This sometimes requires an active sub-committee of competent and enthusiastic volunteers led by the Board member.
Some expertise and experience in the identified role
Enthusiasm and the ability to inspire a team of volunteers
Passion for the McAuley Place’s vision and client/customer service
Strong vocation on community matters preferably with good local connections.
Good organiser with a track record of delivering results
